To stand behind our products, we offer comprehensive warranty coverage as detailed below.

Warranty Coverage

General Warranty Information:

  • All products are sold “as is,” and www.lumengy.com disclaims all warranties of any kind relating to the products or use thereof, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, non-infringement, title, or fitness for a particular purpose.
  • Our warranty guarantees that products will be free of defects in material and workmanship when installed, operated, and maintained according to applicable codes and regulations, supplied instructions, and under conditions of ‘normal use’ – for the time periods defined below.

Warranty Periods:

  • Solar Lights: 2 years
  • Paver Lights and In-Ground Lights: 3 years
  • Hardscape Lights: 5 years

In the event of a warranty request, please contact us via our contact form. Before contacting us, please check the specific light by connecting it directly to the transformer, as 99% of issues are connectivity-related.

Conditions and Exclusions

Our warranty does not apply to products that have been subjected to:

  • Misuse, mishandling, misapplication, neglect, improper maintenance, accident, or vandalism.
  • Improper installation or modification, including the use of unauthorized parts or attachments.
  • Damage due to power surges, power spikes, or the application of voltages outside the acceptable range as defined in product specifications. This also includes the application of DC power when AC power is required (or vice versa), and the use of non-approved electronic transformers and dimmers.
  • ‘Acts of God’ such as lightning, floods, hail, tornado, fire, earthquake, hurricanes, and other extreme weather events.
  • Water damage to products not specifically sold as underwater products that have been submerged in water, mounted in an incorrect orientation, improperly assembled, or subject to excessive contact with water spray from irrigation nozzles or drainage flows. Products must be installed at least 10 feet away from water sources such as fountains, pools, jacuzzis, ponds, or any other water source to prevent corrosion.

Additionally, our warranty does not cover:

  • Normal patina or discoloration of finishes on fixtures, including residue build-ups from outside contaminants. These changes are normal for natural metals and part of the authentic beauty of solid brass and copper in outdoor environments. Our solid brass and copper fixtures can be cleaned with metal cleaner for customers who have hard water stains or do not like natural patina.
  • Labor or other costs or expenses to remove or install any defective, repaired, or replaced product.
  • These warranties extend only to the original purchaser and are void when the original purchaser ceases to own the product. These warranties are not transferable whether to heirs, subsequent owners, or otherwise.

Claiming Your Warranty

If you need to make a warranty claim, follow these steps:

  • Contact Us: Reach out to us via our contact form and provide details of the issue.
  • Ship the Defective Product: Any defective product must be shipped to us for testing. When we send you a replacement product, you must use the same box to ship the defective product back to us within 3 business days of receiving the new product. Failure to return the defective product within this timeframe will result in you being charged for the replacement.

Testing Before Filing a Claim:

  • Connect our light directly to a 12V transformer and check if it works correctly.
  • If it works, the issue is with your low voltage line.
If the light is flickering, it is usually due to insufficient power from the transformer. Ensure that the transformer has enough watts to support all your lights. Adding a larger transformer or an additional transformer can fix the issue.
  • If some of the lights are dim, this could be due to a natural drop in voltage when the lights are far from the transformer (usually more than 100 feet). To correct this, use a thicker wire (10/2 or 12/2), place the transformer closer to the lights, or split the light line into several transformers.

Installation Considerations

When installing our lights, consider future replacements. Ensure that the lead wire is loose enough to allow for easy replacement. This can be achieved by using a conduit or ensuring the wire is not covered by cement or any material that would prevent the wire from moving.
