This is a wire nut with a spiral steel insert at the tip, a gland at the base and about 1/4″ of silicone. Twist the wire, insert, twist the wire-not over the wire. The silicone oozes out but if you look closely it may not bet between the wires where they touch. Just spread them a little and wiggle the wires and the gel gets everywhere making a solid seal. I cut one apart (last 2 photos) so you can see the build quality. I’ve already used these on a new batch of landscaping lights.

I am a Sprinkler Tech., and I use these on sprinkler control valves (in ground/box). These are great quality “grease caps,” allowing me to connect even the “ground wire” with up to 5 wires! Very impressed with these and I definitely recommend. I usually like to support my local sprinkler parts store, but couldnt pass on the opportunity to test these out. The “price point” on these grease caps is about two-thirds of what I typically pay at my local part’s store… and, they (so far) appear to be of better quality. Barring any unforeseen problems, I will be using these as my “go to” grease caps from here on out. Another thing that I like about these, is how they “feel” in my hands, even when wet/muddy, etc.
